Yoga Teacher Training Policy

Sasy AMA Academy

“Where Awareness Meets Love and Awakening”

1. Vision and Commitment

At Sasy Path of Love Academy, our Yoga Teacher Training programs are rooted in the traditional path of Yoga, emphasizing awareness, compassion, discipline, integrity, and self-inquiry.

This training is not only an educational certification program, but also a transformational journey. Students are expected to approach the training with respect, openness, dedication, and responsibility toward themselves, fellow students, teachers, and the lineage of Yoga.

2. Eligibility

Participants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, unless otherwise approved by the lead teacher.
  • Be physically and mentally capable of participating in yoga practices and educational sessions.
  • Understand that yoga is a personal practice and not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment.
  • Inform the school of any injuries, medical conditions, or limitations prior to the training.

3. Attendance Policy

To successfully complete the training and receive certification, students must attend all required training hours.

  • A minimum attendance of 90% is mandatory.
  • Missing significant portions of the training may require make-up assignments, private sessions, or re-attendance of modules at additional cost.
  • Late arrivals or repeated absences may affect certification eligibility.

Students are encouraged to arrive on time and remain fully present throughout all sessions.

4. Code of Conduct

All students are expected to:

  • Treat teachers, staff, fellow students, and the training environment with respect.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and compassionate atmosphere.
  • Refrain from discrimination, harassment, aggressive behavior, or disruptive conduct.
  • Practice personal hygiene and wear appropriate clothing for movement and practice.
  • Respect confidentiality during group discussions and personal sharing.

The Academy reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose behavior compromises the integrity or safety of the training environment.

5. Practice and Participation

Students are expected to actively participate in:

  • Asana practice
  • Meditation and pranayama
  • Philosophy discussions
  • Group activities
  • Teaching practicums
  • Self-reflection assignments

Growth in Yoga requires both discipline and humility. Students are encouraged to meet challenges with patience, awareness, and compassion.

6. Certification Requirements

To receive certification, students must:

  • Complete required attendance hours
  • Participate in teaching practicums
  • Complete assignments and evaluations
  • Demonstrate understanding of foundational yoga principles, ethics, and safe teaching practices
  • Uphold the values and integrity of the training program

Certification is awarded based on participation, effort, competency, and integrity — not solely on physical performance.

7. YTT Tuition, Payment and Refund Policy

The total tuition fee for the Yoga Teacher Training is $1,900 CAD per participant.

To reserve a place in the Yoga Teacher Training, students must submit a full payment or a $600 CAD deposit no later than September 30, 2026 by using the provided Square Payment Link.

The $600 deposit secures the student's enrolment and commitment to the training and is non-refundable, except in the event that the Yoga Teacher Training is cancelled by Sasy AMA Academy due to insufficient enrollment or other circumstances that prevent the training from taking place. In such a case, the deposit will be refunded in full.

The remaining balance of the tuition must be paid in full by December 31, 2026, unless a written payment plan has been approved by the Academy.

Failure to complete payment by the stated deadline may result in the student's place being forfeited and offered to another applicant.

No refunds will be issued once the training has commenced, except in exceptional circumstances and solely at the discretion of Sasy AMA Academy.

If the Academy must cancel or reschedule the training, students will be offered the option to transfer their enrollment to a future training or receive a refund of all payments made to the Academy.

Minimum Enrollment Requirement

The Yoga Teacher Training requires a minimum enrollment of 10 participants to proceed.

Enrollment will be reviewed after November 30, 2026. If the minimum enrollment of 12 participants has not been reached by that date, Sasy AMA Academy reserves the right to cancel or postpone the training.

In the event that the training is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, all payments made to Sasy AMA Academy, including deposits and tuition payments, will be refunded in full to the participant.

Participants acknowledge that the training is contingent upon meeting this minimum enrollment requirement and that confirmation of the training proceeding will be communicated after the enrollment review date.

While tuition fees will be fully refunded by us if the minimum threshold is not met, we are unable to reimburse personal travel expenses. We strongly advise purchasing refundable airline tickets or securing comprehensive travel insurance with trip cancellation coverage before booking your flights

8. Accommodation Policy

Accommodation is not included in the Yoga Teacher Training tuition or retreat fee unless explicitly stated otherwise.

All students are solely responsible for:

  • Booking their own accommodation directly with the venue hosting the training
  • Paying all lodging, meal plans, and related accommodation fees directly to the hosting venue
  • Respecting the policies and payment conditions established by the venue

Sasy AMA Academy is not responsible for room reservations, accommodation disputes, cancellations, or additional fees charged by the hosting venue.

Enrollment in the training does not automatically guarantee lodging availability at the retreat center or venue.

9. Health and Safety

Students participate voluntarily and assume responsibility for listening to their bodies and practicing within their limits.

Teachers may offer modifications, but students remain responsible for their personal choices during practice.

The Academy is not liable for injuries resulting from failure to follow guidance or from undisclosed health conditions.

10. Intellectual Property

Training manuals, recordings, materials, teachings, and course content provided by Sasy Path of Love Academy are for personal educational use only.

Students may not reproduce, distribute, record, or commercially use training materials without written permission.

11. Ethics and Integrity

Students entering this training are invited to embody the deeper essence of Yoga:

  • Awareness with compassion
  • Discipline with humility
  • Strength with softness
  • Knowledge with love

The purpose of this training is not merely to create yoga teachers, but to support human beings capable of bringing presence, healing, and integrity into the world.

12. Health Declaration and Participation Agreement

By enrolling in the Yoga Teacher Training, participants confirm and declare that:

  • They are physically and mentally capable of participating in yoga practices, pranayama, meditation, movement sessions, and related activities
  • They do not have any medical, psychological, or physical condition that would prevent safe participation in the training
  • They understand the physical and emotional nature of Yoga practice and voluntarily assume responsibility for their participation
  • They will inform the lead teacher of any injuries, medical concerns, limitations, or health conditions prior to the beginning of the training

Participants understand that it is their responsibility to practice within their personal limits and to seek appropriate medical advice when necessary.

Sasy Path of Love Academy and its teachers are not liable for injuries, health complications, or damages resulting from undisclosed conditions, overexertion, or failure to follow instruction.

13. Agreement and Acceptance of Terms

By registering for the training, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these policies and guidelines.

By submitting an application, registering for the Yoga Teacher Training, paying the required deposit, making any tuition payment, or participating in any portion of the training, the participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all policies, terms, conditions, and provisions contained in this Yoga Teacher Training Policy.
